The School of Veterinary Medicine's Shelter Medicine Unit has an ongoing need for temporary Mobile Clinic Recovery Team Technicians/Assistants to assist with inventory, stocking, and cleaning the mobile unit, monitor the recovery portion of the clinic day, and teach veterinary students in clinical settings.
Requirements
- Assist with stocking, cleaning, and support patient care responsibilities on the mobile unit project under the Mobile Unit Lead CVT.
- Direct involvement in anesthesia, monitoring, prep, recovery, and medication/vaccine management in a state of the art mobile clinic, as well as assist with maintenance of veterinary equipment on the unit.
- Maintaining the recovery aspect of the clinic including set up, break down, and additional preparations and clean up for the clinic day.
- Have a role in teaching veterinary students in clinical settings and students involved in outreach activities.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Assist with maintaining electronic medical records (EMRs).
