Mechanical Project Engineer II

Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer II to support the North American Warehouse Solutions Team. The role involves designing, specifying, and commissioning Material Handling Systems and Warehouse Automation systems for customers throughout North America. The successful candidate will balance technical requirements with soft skills to collaborate with the engineering team and stakeholders from other disciplines.

What You Will Do

Translate customer drawings and specifications into a fully functional mechanical system, optimize functionality, perform 3D modeling and clash detection, and perform system and component level calculations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Minimum of 2 years of relative work experience (or Associate ME/ET with 5 years related experience)
• Ability to think conceptually and translate into a detailed system design
• Strong communicator and problem solver
• Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization and prioritize work/activities
• Knowledge/Experience with OSHA 1910/29 Occupational Safety and Health Standards, International Building Code (IBC), ANSI B11 Machine Guarding Standards, ASME B20.1 Safety Standards for Conveyors and Related Equipment, and ISO 13849-1
