
Job description
Vast is seeking a Senior GNC Engineer to own guidance, navigation, and control for a new constellation-ready spacecraft bus. The satellite bus uses a CMG-based attitude control system, and the engineer will be responsible for defining the ADCS architecture, developing GNC algorithms, and owning the pointing budget.
Responsibilities include defining the ADCS architecture, developing GNC algorithms, owning the pointing budget, building and validating the 6DOF simulation environment, and supporting CMG Rev 1 bring-up with closed-loop testing.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of spacecraft GNC or ADCS development experience, GNC algorithm development experience for spacecraft, and experience with reaction wheels or CMGs.
