Web Developer

Role Overview

The Web Developer will be responsible for administering and updating the organization's Jekyll-based website, ensuring it remains current, functional, and aligned with organizational objectives. The role will also involve optimizing website performance, implementing security measures, and monitoring website traffic and performance metrics.

What You Will Do

The Web Developer will evaluate and author code, conduct thorough testing and debugging, and write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code. They will also create, organize, and maintain GitHub repositories, and utilize AI-assisted development tools to develop, test, and deploy code efficiently and accurately.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency with Jekyll or comparable static site generator frameworks, and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, and Liquid templating. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and 3-6 years of experience in Web development.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency with Jekyll or comparable static site generator frameworks
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, and Liquid templating
• Proven experience with Git and GitHub, including repository administration, branching, pull requests, and issue tracking
• Ability to effectively operate Claude Code and Cowork in a professional development environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of independent judgment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 3-6 years of experience in Web development
