Vice President, Development & Communications

Veterans Village of San Diego is seeking a Vice President of Development & Communications to lead fundraising efforts and spearhead development, grant-writing, and communication initiatives. The successful candidate will be passionate about serving veterans and dedicated to the organization's motto: Leave No One Behind.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• At least 5 years of experience as a professional fundraiser
• Proven experience raising private funding for nonprofit organizations
• Demonstrated experience with all facets of the role, including fundraising, proposal writing, special events, donor relations and engaging with private foundations
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to fluently read, write and communicate in English
