The Risk and DOT Compliance Coordinator plans, directs, and manages the activities of a risk management program to protect VinLux through risk avoidance and reduction. Loss exposure and costs are reduced through management of safety and loss control, general liability and property programs, along with maintaining compliance with company policies, all local and federal state laws and regulations, including OSHA, DOT, CHP and various other regulations and codes.
Requirements
- Develop, implement and oversees on-going safety and risk management training programs for VinLux employees
- Conduct monthly safety inspections for operations in Northern and Southern CA
- Maintain current knowledge of laws/regulations pertaining to safety, safety programs and compliance
- Responds and assists to safety audits and investigations
- Conduct weekly audits of drivers to ensure compliance and productivity
- Maintain roadside inspections and citations including overweight, traffic violations, etc.
- Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) daily
- Manage safety and quality incident tracker associated with all not at fault and at fault incidents
- Maintain internal database with current driver status, license information, and DOT compliance information
- Manage driver logs to ensure timely and accurate completion, as well as compliance with Federal DOT regulations
- Investigate and track all accidents to meet both company and FMCSA and DOT requirements
- Provide expertise in all matters related to OSHA regulations and ensure company operations are compliant at all times
