The Chaplain is a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing spiritual care to patients, families, caregivers, and staff. The chaplain provides pastoral care interventions, including counseling, determined by spiritual assessment and the specific setting.
Requirements
- Ordination or Commission to function in a ministry of pastoral care and endorsement from their body of faith
- Five years of pastoral experience, two in a clinical setting
- Minimum of 1 unit (400 hours) of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by ACPCE, NACC, or CAPPE
- Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
