Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

VITAS Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care to hospice patients, augmenting care from family members or caregivers. The role involves assisting with hygiene, meals, ambulation, treatments, and patient monitoring. Home Health Aides perform tasks as assigned, including recording temperature, pulse, and respiration, reporting changes, and learning from training.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Seveny-five hours of training
• Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation program
• Ability to travel and operate a telephone
• Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
