Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

VITAS Home Health Aides provide personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care provided by family members and caregivers. They perform a variety of tasks like bathing, feeding, ambulation, and assisting with treatments, as determined by the physician and nurse. The position is part-time and offers flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• 75 hours of training
• Competency Evaluation passed
• State Allowable Training/Certification
• Ability to read, write, and carry out directions
• Ability to lift and transfer patients, and stand/walk for over one hour per day
• Ability to work with appropriate vision abilities
