Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients, assisting them with hygiene, meals, ambulation, and certain treatments. They are part of the VITAS healthcare team and work directly with the patient and their family. The role requires adhering to a written assignment, maintaining a safe environment, and following specific protocols.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 75 hours of training documented
• Competency Evaluation completed
• State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT, IL, Home Health Aide certificate)
• Ability to travel and lift patients
