Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care by working alongside family members and other caregivers. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation, treatment, monitoring, and providing emotional support. The role is performed in-home and involves adhering to specific training and performance expectations.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 75 hours of training
- Completed Competency Evaluation program
- State Allowable Training/Certification
- Ability to travel and work in a home setting
