Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The LPN/LVN provides direct skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment administration, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role focuses on comfort, independence, and ensuring the patient’s ability to function as autonomously.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
• Licensed to practice nursing in the state where VITAS is located
• One year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year in an LPN/LVN role in a hospital setting
