VITAS is seeking a Medical Director of Hospice to oversee the care and treatment of patients and their families in a hospice setting. This role involves providing clinical expertise, supervising a team of physicians, and ensuring high quality standards of care. The position requires collaboration with attending physicians, community physicians, and community involvement as a liaison.
Requirements
- License to practice medicine in the state in which the program is operating.
- Board certification in a medical specialty.
- Active membership in the medical staff of an accredited hospital.
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of primary medical care and oncology.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients' attending physicians and hospice employees.
