Role Overview

Assemblers perform a variety of tasks at Wabash, including installing subassemblies, assembling component parts, and operating heavy machinery. They work in an environment where safety, environmental, and health concerns are a priority. Assemblers are responsible for owning and improving performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of an Assembler include measuring, cutting, and caulking materials, installing rivets, operating heavy machinery, and following decal templates and blueprints. Assemblers must also wear approved personal protective equipment and complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be a successful Assembler, you should be able to identify problems, take initiative, and communicate effectively with others. You should also be able to cope with unexpected events and develop plans to achieve objectives. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions, and experience and education are a plus but not required.
