
Job description
Material handlers work on various components, operating heavy machinery and performing tasks such as checking, storing, and disbursing materials. They are responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and delivery performance, and may work in different departments.
Daily tasks include receiving and shipping activities, reporting defects, and keeping lines stocked with materials. Material handlers may also perform additional work assigned by supervisors or coordinators.
Ideal candidates are knowledgeable and confident in communicating information, take initiative, and persist at tasks. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with loud noise, welding, paint fumes, and grinding dust.
