Protection Officer (Part-Time), Reynolda House Museum of American Art

Provides protection to Reynolda House Museum of American Art as well as guests and staff from criminal activity, fire, safety hazards or other dangerous situations.

Requirements

• Maintains knowledge of current policies and procedures to protect the collection, staff, and visitors to Reynolda.
• Actively monitors all building areas to ensure the safety / security of the collection, staff, and guests.
• Detects problems and reports information to appropriate personnel via the chain of command.
• Protects the collection from unauthorized tampering, handling, defacing, touching or theft.
• Responds to fire alarms, intrusion alarms, and panic alarms.
• Responds to medical emergencies; administers aid as required.
• Receives reports of and responds to, security issues, safety issues, and incidents.
• Assists in the evacuation of the museum in the event of an emergency that threatens life or property in accordance with current emergency procedures; ensures security of the area.
