Fitter (Afternoons)

Walters Group is seeking a Fitter to join their team in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and fitting structural steel assemblies, as well as mentoring apprentices and junior fitters. The company offers a competitive compensation package, including a wage of $23.00-$35.00/Hour, vacation, paid sick and bereavement leaves, and flexible extended health and dental care packages.

Requirements

• 5 years of fitting/welding structural steel experience
• Completion of apprenticeship program in Metal Fabrication or Welding (asset)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read a tape measure in both metric and imperial
• Ability to operate overhead cranes
• Current or past CWB certification for FCAW, MCAW
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
