Laboratory Technician (Chemistry and Biochemistry) and Chief Hygiene Officer

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Laboratory Technician provides technical and operational support for teaching and research laboratories in Chemistry and Biochemistry, managing the departmental stockroom, maintaining equipment, and coordinating supplies. Additionally, the position serves as the University’s Chemical Hygiene Officer, leading campus chemical safety and regulatory compliance efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry required
• Experience working in a laboratory setting that included chemical handling and preparing solutions
• Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory safety practices, chemical storage compatibility, and hazardous materials handling
