Job Description
The Sous Chef-Main is responsible for food preparation, production, and catering, supervising food production personnel and ensuring quality and cost standards are met. This role also involves preparing recipes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and assisting with administrative and production duties. It is a key position for maintaining food service standards and ensuring efficient production.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary degree or Accredited certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience related to food preparation
- Knowledge of soup and sauce preparation
- VA Food Service Sanitation Certification
- Ability to supervise and train employees
- Knowledge of menu planning and inventory control
- Advanced cooking and presentation skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks
