Job Description
The Orientation and Mobility Specialist I/II at Wayfinder Family Services is responsible for developing and implementing individualized Orientation and Mobility instruction for adults who are blind and visually impaired, and may have additional disabilities. The role requires a master's degree in special education or a related field, and certification as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS).
Requirements
- A master's degree in special education, rehabilitation, or related field with an emphasis in orientation and mobility from an accredited university
- Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) certification through Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP) required
