Job Description
Perform electrical work at the journeyman's level, including installing, maintaining, altering, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
Requirements
- Plan, layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
- Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits
- Use a variety of tools or equipment
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
- Construct or fabricate parts, using hand tools
- Perform physically demanding tasks
- Troubleshoot electrical circuit faults
- Repair power circuits and repair or replace motors
- Troubleshoot electrical control circuits
- Troubleshoot fire alarm systems, smoke & heat detectors, home and speakers
- Perform new electrical construction & renovation
- Layout and install data & phone conduits
