Safety Intern

Role Overview

Assist in conducting safety inspections, participate in accident investigations, and maintain safety reports and training materials. Develop a working knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.

What You Will Do

Conduct safety inspections, participate in accident investigations, maintain chemical inventory and SDS system, create safety reports and training materials, and assist in tracking monthly safety performance metrics.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field
• 2 years of college coursework preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
• Proficient skills in the use of personal computers including Windows Office applications
• Ability to multi-task and focus on work with details
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as in project team environment
