Trailer Technician

Role Overview

Maintain and repair trailers to meet minimum standards set forth by the Department of Transportation and Werner Enterprises. This is a safety-sensitive position.

What You Will Do

Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, races, and associated parts. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and lighting systems and associated parts.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Comprehensive knowledge of all systems pertaining to tractor/trailer operations preferred. Ability to use a MIG welder, Plasma cutter and oxy-acetylene torch preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 months mechanical experience
• Basic understanding of tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of all systems pertaining to tractor/trailer operations (preferred)
• Ability to use a MIG welder, Plasma cutter and oxy-acetylene torch (preferred)
• Ability to lift in excess of 75 lbs
