Drafter

Responsible for creating complex and sophisticated high-voltage substation, transmission, and steel design packages using Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD.

Requirements

• Designs in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD
• Reads and interprets customer drawings and professional engineer (PE) calculations
• Creates detailed engineered drawings for customer approval and fabrication purposes
• Creates general arrangement substation layouts in 2D and 3D
• Develops and utilizes engineering standards as directed by Engineering Manager
• Reviews customer bill of material against customer drawings for form, fit, function and accuracy
• Participates in LEAN training and initiatives
• Initiates and assists with creation and development of engineering standards
• Utilizes customer drawings to estimate steel weights for quotes
