Principal Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineering

Western Digital is looking for a Principal Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineering to lead and oversee quality assurance activities, including non-conformance management, part containment, and disposition of discrepant materials. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science and experience in quality management systems or quality-related activities in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in computer literacy, data analysis, and visualization, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills, is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science or equivalent
• Experience in quality management system or Quality related activities in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication, assertive and ability to work with all levels of employees within the organization
• Proficiency in computer literacy (E.g., Excel/Word/Power Point)
• Knowledge/ Trained in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, RBA standards, statistical tools, six sigma methodology, SPC, FMEA, 8D etc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights for problem solving
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• High adaptability and resilient with reset and growth mindset
