Engineering Lead - Frontend (EL3)

Role Overview

Whatfix is seeking a seasoned Engineering Leader to join our growing team. This role demands a strong technical foundation coupled with proven people management capabilities. You’ll lead a high-performing, cross-functional team, guiding the architecture, design, and execution of critical projects that impact millions of users globally.

What You Will Do

Own and drive the architecture and design of frontend and full-stack systems for your team. Be a hands-on technical leader, mentoring engineers while actively contributing to the codebase when needed.

Requirements

• 10+ years of overall experience in software engineering with at least 2 years leading cross-functional teams
• Strong hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies: React, JavaScript, TypeScript & familiar with Java-based backend ecosystem
• In-depth knowledge of micro-frontend and microservices-based architectures, with expertise in driving such transitions or implementations
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down and navigate complex technical issues
• Strong understanding of design principles and their practical application in scalable systems
• Proven track record in defining and executing product roadmaps
• Experience working in a SaaS product environment
• A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
