The Bilingual Family Support Specialist provides direct services, case management, and coordination of care to an assigned caseload of individuals/families in the Foster Care program. This position assists in accessing needed supports and resources in the community, facilitates ongoing communication and advocacy between the family, DCF, school, probation, and other involved supports or service providers.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or related field
- Previous experience working with client population with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders
- Valid Drivers License
- Effective time management, strong verbal and written communication skills
