Research Assistant/Doctoral Student (f/m/d) - Chair of Production Management

The Chair of Production Management at WHU is seeking a Research Assistant/Doctoral Student. The role involves completing a dissertation consisting of three research papers with a strong link to management practice. The position also includes a recommended and financially supported term at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Limited administrative work such as proctoring exams and co-reading theses may be required.

Requirements

• Outstanding master’s degree in General Management or Operations Management or a relevant discipline
• Experience in Data Analytics/Machine Learning, Lean Manufacturing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Retail Analytics, Operational and Financial Risk Management, Real Options Modeling, or Operations Strategy Formation and Deployment is beneficial
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Goal-oriented
• Strong English communication and writing skills
