CTO - Robotics Research Engineer - Controls

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior / Lead AI Research Engineer - Controls to join our Robotics & Embodied AI team. This role focuses on advancing the state-of-the-art in robotics control through Reinforcement Learning (RL), Imitation Learning (IL), and Vision-Language Action (VLA) models.

Requirements

• Design, develop, and implement advanced control algorithms for robotic systems using RL, IL, and VLA methodologies.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and researchers within the Robotics & Embodied AI team.
• Conduct cutting-edge research in areas such as motion planning, manipulation, and autonomous decision-making for robots.
• Prototype and validate algorithms in simulated and real-world environments, utilising platforms such as ROS, NVIDIA Omniverse ISAAC Sim, and industry-standard toolkits like Gymnasium and similar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven controls into next-generation robotic products.
• Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals; contribute to patent generation and intellectual property development.
• Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in AI, robotics, and simulation environments.
