The Childcare Worker creates and maintains a safe and stimulating environment for children (ages 1-5), while providing care and activities for children’s learning programs in a structured setting and to assist with program planning and coordination.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certificate in childcare, early childhood education or related field (strongly preferred)
- Three to five years experience working with children pre-school to K
- Demonstrated experience in delivering effective learning activities
- Demonstrated ability to work within an urban setting and with a diverse population
- Driver's License and Passing of MVR (motor vehicle record search)
- Demonstrated commitment to service of others
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and in writing
- Bilingual or conversational in addition to English (preferred)
- Must provide Satisfactory Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI clearances
- Must attend/complete upcoming Domestic Violence Advocate Paid Training (February 17 - March 5)
