Design and deliver electrical systems for transportation and building infrastructure, contribute to multidisciplinary project teams, and work on complex transportation and building projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (PEO)
- 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings, transportation, commercial, and industrial projects
- Hands-on expertise in power distribution, circuiting, emergency lighting, grounding and bonding, emergency power, lighting systems, lighting controls, fire alarm, and life safety systems
- Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including OBC, OESC, CEC, CSA, NFPA, IEEE, ASHRAE, and IESNA
- Experience performing electrical studies such as load, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, lighting, and grounding analyses
- Familiarity with transportation standards, including GO Metrolinx DRM (Design Reference Manual), DMCA, and TTC design manual and specifications
