Protection & Control Engineer (Energy)

As a Protection & Control Engineer at WSP, you will design Technical Protection & Control solutions for EHV substation projects, travel to UK client offices and sites, and work on a range of projects from 11kV to 400kV. You will need to produce design drawings, develop new protection solutions, and integrate protection and SCADA systems. We are looking for someone with HNC Electrical Engineering, experience in protection and control schemes, and knowledge of Electrical Networks and Engineering standards.

Requirements

• HNC Electrical Engineering
• Proven experience in the design of protection and control schemes
• Knowledge of Electrical Networks and Engineering standards
• An ability to interpret technical documentation relating to design
• Knowledge and experience of working with main suppliers' products of substation control equipment (such as ABB/Hitachi, Siemens, GE)
• Experience in main standard protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870
• Full driving licence
