As a Senior Engineer in HV cables, you will design, install, and maintain high voltage cable systems. Your role includes leading projects, collaborating with teams, conducting site assessments, and providing technical expertise to ensure reliable and efficient HV cable networks.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in the design, manufacture and test of HV cables for use in HVAC and Desirable - HVDC projects both onshore and offshore
- Understanding of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies
- Preparation and review of Technical Proposal from Transmission & Distribution projects
- Preparation of technical documents/calculations using Cable Modelling Software 'CYMCAP'
- System designing experience - Selection of Bonding System, Earth Continuity Cable & Co-Axial Cable, Short circuit calculations, Cable Bonding layout
- Experience of witnessing 3rd party cable activities such as test, installation, transport etc.
- Attained or working towards Chartered Engineer status
