Adjunct Faculty pool - Physical Sciences | College of Arts & Sciences | WSU Tri Cities (Richland, WA)

The College of Arts and Sciences at Washington State University (WSU) Tri-Cities seeks to develop applicant pools for adjunct faculty to teach in-person course offerings throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. Adjunct faculty are faculty who may hold positions with employers other than WSU and are appointed temporarily to a WSU faculty position.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in relevant field
• Demonstrated experience or potential for teaching with student-centered pedagogy practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with both students and colleagues in written and verbal formats
• Terminal Degree/Ph.D. in relevant field (preferred)
• Ability to use new teaching approaches that advance pedagogy of the discipline (preferred)
• Commitment to teaching excellence (preferred)
• Demonstrated record of successful teaching across a range of student demographics (preferred)
• Minimum of one-year experience teaching college courses in relevant area(s) (preferred)
