About

YMCA Buffalo Niagara, founded in 1852, is the second-oldest YMCA in the United States and a longstanding pillar of Western New York. As a non-profit, it delivers comprehensive wellness and youth services through six community wellness centers, two overnight camps, and more than 40 childcare locations. Its programs span fitness, swim lessons, youth sports, preschool, and active adult activities, while a dedicated equity fund of $1.6 million annually ensures inclusive access for all residents. Supported by membership dues, program fees, community fundraising, and an endowment, the Y combines financial sustainability with a mission-driven culture that emphasizes volunteerism and community engagement.
