Job Description
The Grand Lake Health/Premier Health North YMCA is seeking a Part-Time Lifeguard to ensure the safety of swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. This role requires responding to emergency situations, enforcing pool rules, and assisting with swim instruction. The YMCA values inclusivity and offers comprehensive training. Lifeguard certifications (CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding) are required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Currently hold or possess the ability to participate in and achieve certification for Lifeguard, First Aid, or Rescue Certification from YMCA, Starguard, or Ellis.
- Pass the physical competency test including swim-tread-swim sequence (Jumping into deep water, resurfacing, and swimming 20 yards).
- Maintain consistent observation of the pool area.
