Job Description
This role is for a competitive, adaptable Swim Instructor within the YMCA Aquatics Team. The position offers a chance to work with individuals of all ages, fostering confidence and skill development in a safe swimming environment. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided, and the role emphasizes individual needs and positive interactions with program participants. The role requires physical ability, communication skills, and a commitment to safety and class management.
Requirements
- Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid.
- Must be 16 years of age and demonstrate quality swimming skills.
- Must be proficient in communication with various ages.
- Able to move in and around the pool and work on a high lifeguard station.
- Must be able to travel to various locations around the pool.
- Must be on duty to start and on deck 5 minutes before class begins.
- Must have appropriate certifications current.
- Must be able to assist with preparing lesson plans and evaluations.
