Cabin Counselor - Summer Overnight Camp, YMCA Camp Classen

Cabin counselors are the heart and soul of our camp, caring for a group of 8-10 campers. They plan, implement, and lead program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA values. This is a challenging yet rewarding job that requires a passion for working with kids and a love for the outdoors.

Requirements

• Supervise a group of children
• Provide a safe environment for children
• Plan, implement, and lead program activities
• Dedication to job, camp participants, and the YMCA cause
• Must be able to self-regulate emotions in a fast-paced community environment
• Adheres to program standards, including safety and cleanliness standards
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures
• Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents, children, and other staff
• Performs other duties as assigned
