Job Description
YMCA Camp Carter is seeking seasonal Summer Camp Counselors to provide energetic camp spirit and leadership throughout a fun summer experience! This role is responsible for executing our exciting camp curriculum, actively engaging and interacting with children of various backgrounds and abilities, responding to safety and behavioral needs, and more.
Requirements
- Collaborate with other counselors to lead a group of 15-30 children
- Develop and execute fun and educational activities throughout the week
- Encourage campers to achieve goals in personal development
- Maintain safety at all times by knowing every camper by name, knowing who you are responsible for at all times, maintaining proper ratios, carrying first aid supplies at all times, being responsive on a walkie-talkie system, etc.
- Participate in all camp activities
