The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Supervisor of Aquatics to join their team. The supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the operation of programs and services in the aquatics department, including swim lessons, enrichment courses, special events, scheduling, human resource management, meeting financial targets, and managing within the department budget and staff and volunteer development.
Requirements
- College diploma or University degree in Recreation, Sports & Leisure, Sport Management, Physical Education or related field
- National Lifeguard Certification (NLS) in good standing
- Pool Operator Certification considered an asset
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a similar role
- Minimum of two (2) years of working directly in aquatics
- YMCA Trainer or Trainer Educator considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Current LSS Instructor Trainer an asset
- Current YMCA/LSS Red Cross Instructor
- First Aid Instructor Trainer an asset
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
- Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
