Youth and Government - MUN Volunteer

The YMCA values volunteers as essential partners in fulfilling our mission to strengthen communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Volunteers help empower young people to become engaged citizens and leaders by fostering civic education, character development, and life skills.

Requirements

• Understand and support the volunteer programs, goals, and objectives of the YMCA
• Provide guidance and instruction to youth, teens, and/or adults
• Assist with planning and organizing program schedules and activities
• Follow and enforce safety regulations and applicable policies
• Teach character development values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
• Communicate with members, staff, and the public in a friendly and professional manner
• Attend weekly meetings and a one-day training
