Job Description
The YMCA of Western North Carolina is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes of all ages and abilities. The ideal candidate will have previous swim instructing experience, be at least 15 years old, and be certified in various lifeguarding and swimming instructor courses.
Requirements
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Previous swim instructing experience preferred
- Certified in Accredited Swim Lesson Instructor, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Standard First Aid, Emergency Oxygen Administration – O2, Automated External Defibrillation – AED, and Be the Brand training
- Ability to perform all necessary rescue and survival skills and all lifeguard prerequisite skills
