Job Description
The CAD Designer I creates and maintains 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models in support of tire development and manufacturing.
Requirements
- Works with Tire Engineers to generate basic drawings
- Create and update basic 3D CAD models
- Check and correct drawings created by other CAD Designers
- Make necessary revisions to drawings and models
- Follow established CAD, documentation, and documentation procedures
- Support the preparation, management, and release of drawings and associated documentation
- Utilize PLM to check in/check out CAD data, manage revisions, and maintain proper file organization
- Identify potential issues or discrepancies in drawings or models
- Provide general CAD and documentation support for Engineers and Designers
- Participate in training to improve CAD proficiency and understanding of company standards and workflows
- Perform other duties as assigned
