Job Description
The YWCA of the City of New York (YWCA NYC) is dedicated to empowering women and promoting peace, justice, and dignity. This role is focused on overseeing the implementation of curriculum and training for school-based OST programs, primarily targeting elementary and middle school students in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Education Specialist will develop thematic curriculum, supervise activities, and maintain program fidelity while ensuring a diverse and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Hire, train and supervise at least 20 part time instructors/activity specialists.
- Develop theme-based curriculum for K-8 students.
- Ensure the programs have appropriate technology to fulfill lessons/activities.
- Conduct activity observations and provide staff coaching and feedback.
- Adhere to compliance requirements as identified by DOHMH and DYCD.
