Field Civil Engineer

Zachry Engineering Corporation is seeking a Field Civil Engineer II to work out of construction sites and be responsible for layout and control, verifying that construction complies with engineering plans, and assisting with the placement of structural elements.

Requirements

• Plan, design and manage permits for civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site visits to ensure that the construction work aligns with design specifications and blueprints.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software.
• Establish and verify survey control, lay out secondary control points for building elements like columns and walls.
• Recommend new approaches and ideas that continuously improve efficiency and services performed.
• Apply knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
