Responsible for depot-level modification, upgrade, and test of aircraft sub-systems, ensuring airworthiness. Duties include inspecting, testing, modifying, and repairing avionic and electrical systems.
Requirements
- Modifies, upgrades, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs aircraft avionic and electrical systems
- Inspects components of avionic and electrical systems and equipment for defects
- Tests avionic and electrical systems under simulated or actual operating conditions
- Adjusts, repairs, and/or replaces defective components based on analysis of test results
- Calibrates installed, modified, or repaired systems and/or equipment to prescribed specifications
- Operates ground servicing equipment to operationally test, inspect, and verify functionality and air worthiness of avionic and other electrical systems
- Assists in fabricating wiring harnesses
- Accurately documents all required U.S. Government and program forms and documents
