Abacus Technology Corporation is a Federal government contractor and provider of enterprise information technology (IT) services and solutions. We are seeking a SQL Database Administrator to install, manage, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as MS SQL Server and Oracle in support of multiple applications.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in database administration and management
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired
- Must hold a Security+ CE certification (or equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II)
- Oracle certification desired
- Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle databases and application server administration
- Experience with the following tools and technologies: SQL; PL/SQL; T-SQL; MS SQL Server 2019 database and newer; Oracle 19c and later; PowerShell; batch files; Windows Server 2019 and newer; Apache Tomcat; Secure FTP; and the MS Office Suite
- Experience working with Linux/UNIX servers desired
- Experience with projecting long-range requirements for database administration in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function as well as business function managers
- Experience working with DoD IT environment and networks
- Must have good communication skills and an ability to conceptualize experience within database relationships using diagrams and explain how databases interact with one another
- Able to work independently or as part of a team and interact professionally within all levels of an organization
- Must be a US citizen and hold a Top Secret clearance with SCI access or eligibility (TS/SCI)
