Job Description
Acciona is looking for two Energy Technicians to join the project team for an innovation project in the field of access to energy in humanitarian contexts. The project aims to improve the capacity of humanitarian organizations to meet electricity needs in emergency contexts using renewable energy sources.
Requirements
- Investigate solutions developed in other sectors and/or regions that allow the characterization of demand and simulation of alternatives for energy generation
- Study of methods and tools for the dimensioning of electricity generation sources and simulation of operation scenarios
- Study of the energy demand of humanitarian actors in emergency contexts
- Study of the applicable regulations for access to energy solutions in humanitarian emergency actions
- Evaluation of different electrification technologies and heating/cooking technologies
- Search for providers of electricity access solutions without existing network
- Analysis of suitability of different solutions and evaluation according to applicable regulations and corresponding certifications
- Bibliographic review about access to energy in vulnerable and humanitarian contexts and identification of good practices, trends, and impact factors
- Elaboration of manuals, good practices, guidelines, recommendations, and procedures
- Support the management and follow-up of the project
