Backend Software Engineer - Calculation Engines

Addepar is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Calculation Engines team. The role involves designing and building distributed microservice components, scaling the Java-based calculation engine, and improving system efficiency in a highly concurrent platform.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with Object Oriented programming languages
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explore complex problems spaces objectively from multiple points of view
• General familiarity with Java, Python, SQL, SQS, relational databases and key-value stores
• Kubernetes
• Linux proficiency, basic shell scripting and a solid grasp of systems level programming
