Sr. Software Engineer, Backend – AI Platform

Addepar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join the AI Platform team. The role involves designing, building, and shipping services across a distributed microservices platform. The ideal candidate thrives on solving hard backend problems, writes clean and tested production code, and can own features end-to-end in a fast-moving AI product team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• At least five years of professional backend software engineering experience in production environments
• Strong proficiency in at least one production backend language such as Python, Go, or Java
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and/or gRPC services
• Experience with relational databases and/or NoSQL data stores in production systems
• Experience with asynchronous processing patterns such as queues, workers, retries, and failure handling
• Proficiency with Docker and familiarity with modern backend development workflows
